“Juneteenth” was written for an employee event called "Mic Check". The event is used to honor BIPOC voices from a number of tech companies in the greater Seattle area.

The poem was written and performed for the virtual event showcased on June 19th 2021 and filmed by Taylor Hamid & Lionel Mukendi.
